THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE OF CHARLES DICKENS.
Crawford, R. J. & B. J. Crawford
This catalogue is a collection of autograph letters, portraits, illustrations, and other material relating to the life and literary work of Charles Dickens. Visually appealing ephemeral material and material specially connected with the Grolier Club are included. The book accompanied the exhibition held at the Grolier Club from January 26 to March 10, 2006. The Extraordinary Life of Charles Dickens contains an introduction, an explanation of the John Patterson and the Dickens Archive, an essay on the development of the Patterson Archive, a short retrospective, and a catalogue of exhibition material. Designed by Jerry Kelly and printed by the Studley Press, the book is beautifully illustrated with 116 duo-tone illustrations.
