This exhibition catalog details a number of culturally and historically significant books, manuscripts, maps and documents dealing with travel and exploration in Central America. The works come from the collection of the Jay I. Kislak Foundation Collection. The collection includes the superlative 1494 imprint of the Columbus letter and drawings by Ricardo Almendáriz of the Maya ruins of Palenque. It includes nine full-page illustrations. It was designed by Mary Ann Stavros-Lanning and printed by Atlantic Litho. The catalogue was published in conjunction with the exhibition held at the Grolier Club from September 13, 1998 to November 6, 1998.

Complete set of this standard biographical work on Swiss artists and illustrators that was original published by Von Huber & Co. in Frauenfeld over the period 1905 to 1917. Still the standard work on Swiss Art. Scholarly entries on painters, printmakers, sculptors, and architects, as well as decorative artists from about the 14th c. through the 19th. Provides lists of works and bibliographic data for the more important figures. V.4 is a supplement containing new information gathered since the set was begun. Prints are by Swiss artists only. Selective Catalogues are provided for some printmakers but not all. Some Catalogues are extensive, and may possibly be complete.
