1730 lots. The remainder of the magnificent library of Lord Amherst of Hackney (1835-1909), other portions being sold previously in 1908 and 1909, along with 11 Caxtons purchased privately by J. Pierpont Morgan. This final sale featured fine bindings, color plates, the works of John Gould, publications of the Roxburghe Club (Lord Amherst being a member), autograph letters of Martin Luther, numerous works on Egyptology, Americana, Hebrew and Oriental manuscripts, and a large collection of drawings, many by J.S. Cotman. This copy has been completely priced and includes buyer's names. Spine covering worn with pieces missing.

Limited to 500 copies. Inserted in each copy of volume I, between pages 36 and 37 , is an original number of the journal Extra Posten. ( Leaf Book-Chalmers 69) Inscribed by the author on the blank preceding the title page. The leaf has come loose. Covers lightly soiled and chipped. Small amount of paper loss at the head of the spine of the first volume. Short closed tear at the upper front near the spine of the first volume. The second volume has a 2" closed tear from the spine into the rear panel along with a 3" split in the paper leading from the heel of the spine up to the tear. In Swedish.
