Ireland's official confession of his forgeries of Shakespeare originally issued in 1796 as MISCELLANEOUS PAPERS AND LEGAL INSTRUMENTS. The ensuing pamphlets written by and about these papers up to 1805 created a stir in English literary circles finally culminating in this confession.
