The Renaissance of Letterpress Printing
Oak Knoll Fest XIV

This is the largest annual Fine-Press Exhibition in North America with 40 fine presses from around the world represented. Meet the master printers and book designers. See examples of the wonderful books they have created in the time-honored tradition of books as works of art.

Oak Knoll Fest XIV (October 6th and 7th) was very exciting. We taped two radio programs with The Book Guys and had a wonderful speech by Johanna Drucker Saturday, and a lively Panel Discussion led by Tim Murray on Sunday.

Listen to Johanna's Speech and the Panel Discussion online by going to the Speaker & Panel Discussion page.

"By touching the forms of the alphabet, [students] come to realize that letterforms have great beauty and subtlety. Letterpress teaches the doer in the doing of it.... The arts of the book are a type of nonverbal philosophy, and through practicing them, we learn about ourselves."
